Lady Magpie & Me Winter Fair


We hope you can come and join us at Lady Magpie & Me Winter Fair. We've a curated collection of craft, design, art, vintage and artisan food from Scotland & beyond. Enjoy browsing 40 stall over two floors, its the perfect time to shop for Christmas all under one roof. Meet the makers and buy unique gifts & eats for your friends and family, there's sure to be that special something!

Why not pick a prop and say cheese! Our pop up photobooth will be making a return visit to our Winter Fair, and expect a festive feel to some of our props!. And remember to share your shots with us on facebook and twitter, we’d love to see who strikes a pose on the day. You can use our Hashtag #LMandM There’s also some good old fashioned colouring in to keep the kiddiewinks amused, but we’ll not be at all surprised if we have some adults joining in too! Or in between shopping, you could enjoy a crafty workshop hosted by So Sew Pretty, suitable for children and adults.

The Winner will be drawn as soon as we reach 250, and you'll need to be there to collect the prize as its only valid on the day of the Winter Fair.

Cotton Heart Studio
We’re really pleased to welcome back local business Cotton Heart Studio to our Winter Fair. Expect a wonderful selection of handmade crocheted accessories such as hats, ear-warmers, wrist-warmers and hair clips for babies, children and adults. She also makes little gifts like garlands and coasters for the home. The perfect festive finishing touch for your home.

Splashpoint Art
Splashpoint Art produce a range of unique and contemporary tableware from original art work by local D&G based artists. They also publish children’s titles – The Belties of Curleywee Farm and Charlotte’s Woolly Yarn and a range of merchandise to go with them. They sell a range of mugs, coasters, placemats, and prints.

Planet Jopeter
Planet Jopeter is a collaboration between Jo Gallant (studio textiles) and Pete Machell (woodwork/product design). We have been working together on ideas that we can produce in our own Galloway-based workshops and will be selling trays and containers.

Earths Crust Bakery
Are you a lover of bread? Well, you'll be delighted to hear that family run artisan baker's The Earth's Crust Bakery in the small village of Laurieston will be at our Winter Fair. They produce delicious slow fermented handmade breads. They sold out rather quickly at our last Fair so come early if you don't want to go home empty handed.

Little Vintique
Little Vintique are p
urveyors of vintage homewares & treasures and we'll be welcoming them along for the first time at Lady Magpie & Me. They have been busy sourcing acros the U.k and have lots of fabulous treasures to unveil at the Winter Fair.

Granny Sally’s Soap Kitchen
An Edinburgh based, family Run soap making company, we’re pleased to introduce Granny Sally’s Soap Kitchen with their playful and quirky handmade soaps and scrubs skincare which are all a play on food. They also create superb one of a kind vintage teacup candles and sundae candles right out of your favourite 50's malt shop.Weight Watchers magazine said that their vanilla bean rice scrub is the best scrub they have tried in years. Look out for their cheesecake soap too!

Once Upon a Time in the North
Once Upon a Time in the North will be back once more and heading over the border to join us at Lady Magpie & Me Winter Fair. Textile designer Grace Rigby is the name behind Once Upon a Time in the North. She uses her skills in sewing and appliqué to make a range of fun and functional products, from unique scented pillows, quirky bags and pretty brooches. Her creations are fuelled by a passion for beautiful fabrics and an obsession with colour and order. And there are lots of handmade lovelies and haberdashery coming in her vintage suitcase!

Galloway Chillies
Galloway Chillies will be coming along for the very first time to our Winter Fair sadly the snow last year stopped them from taking part at our Spring Fair. They're a relatively new business, Launched in Oct 2012, producing their own range of preserves and supplying fresh chillies and plants. They're based in South West Scotland not far from Wigtown – Scotland’s National Book Town and are Scotland’s second chilli farm. With a range of chillies, ranging from mild to super hot. All our products use chillies which have been grown in Britain and they plan to eventually use their own home grown chillies.





Lilys Chocolate
Lily's Chocolates are a local business owned by Bobby & Tracy McCleary and we're delighted to be welcoming them along for the very first time to Lady magpie & Me. They specialise in bespoke, handmade chocolates & truffles. All of their produce is created using the highest quality ingredients, and every item is individually made by hand.

Jo Gallant
Hailing from Kircudbright, Jo Gallant is a well-established local designer-maker producing a constantly changing array of cushions, scarves and the like. She also commissions one off wall hangings.

Just My Cup of Tea
Inspired by picnics and afternoon tea, vintage and retro recycled by Just My Cup Of Tea. Expect vintage and recyled homewares including tea cup candles, cake stands, picnic ware and pretty things.

Runaway Baa Baa
Runaway Baa Baa works with local sheeps wool from their own rare breed manx loaghtan sheep and the sheep from my neighbouring farmers and smallholders. They handcard, spin and crochet, knit or weave to create unique slippers with sheepskin soles, individual clothing and home furnishings. They also make a small number of items using other fibres and recycled woolens.

flossy teacake
flossy teacake love nothing more than playing with imagination and childhood memories through mixing and combining ceramics, textiles and mixed-media, which develop into curious 2D and 3D illustrations of village life. Their work has a childlike unpredictability and a nostalgic charm and they have purposely manipulated scale and proportion, removing a conventional sense of reality.

Choose a cheese
High quality cows, goats and sheep cheese from Scotland and further afield. Expect a delicious selection of local, national, and international artisan cheeses at the Winter Fair.






The Canny Squirrel
We're really pleased to welcoming back The Canny Squirrel to our Winter Fair this year. Based in Glasgow they design handmade tweed cushions. Using a combination of new and vintage British tweed for the covers and cut felt animals, they then add free machine embroidery to bring the cushions to life.

Stella & Bella Vintage
Stella & Bella Vintage sell a wide range of fun and pretty vintage homewares. They include: a wide range of vintage glasswares; beautiful teasets and pretty vintage trios; a range of good quaility kitchenalia; and lovely vintage linens and fabrics. We can't wait to see what treasures they'll be bringing along to our Winter Fair.

Cakes by Agnes

Inspired by her visit to Lady Magpie & Me. Cakes by Agnes will be bringing a a selection of handmade vintage style christmas cakes to the Winter Fair. We are sure you'll give her a lovely welcome as its her first time at our fair.


Love Ellie
We will be welcoming along Love Ellie who'll be showcasing their handmade handbags, accessories and homewares. Their veggie friendly and made from traditional and sustainable materials. Love Ellie style is quirky with a vintage twist. The vegan bags and wallets they design are registered with the Vegan Society and carry their trademark logo.

Tactile Tales
Tactile Tales are a small, independent, UK company publishing innovative books and accompanying aromatherapy massage oils for parents and children; books that link story telling and massage together and are beautifully illustrated and easy to use. Our stories are fired by our love of nature and celebrate the bond between parent and child through the wonderful medium of plants and animals from around the world. Our aim is to promote a loving, bonding experience between parents and children to encourage well being and a love of nature.

KGRGlass
We’re delighted to welcome along locally based KGR Glass once more to Lady Magpie & Me. They’ll be showcasing a range of window and wall hangers, pictures and freestanding art made from stained, copperfoil and fused glass. There are some delightful new festive designs coming too.

Gene Howe Love Knitting

We will be welcoming back locally based Gene Howe Love Knitting to our Lady Magpie & Me Winter Fair. She uses a mix of hand, machine knitting and felting using 100%wool and yarn with a high content of wool to create handmade lovelies. Expect more of her rather delightful knitted bears plus lots of knitted designs perfect for the wintertime! 

Tootie McCloed
Tootie McLeod is inspired by vintage items and flowers. This time round he'll be selling a specially selected range of mainly 1930s - 50s ceramics including lots of wonderful two handled vases for flowers and berries (ideal for Christmas displays) and some cute ceramic animal friends.





Blooms Florist
The design team at Blooms Florist, led by Margaret and Dawn Robson continually strive to create truly beautiful, bespoke, inspiring and innovative Floristry. Using only the finest flowers and materials available they consistently produce beautiful floral works of art to the delight of their clients. They'll be bringing along fresh flower cupcakes and tea cups, corn stooks, lavender bags, hearts and pin cushions to the Winter Fair.

Kirsty Muir Jewellery
Kirsty Muir Jewellery is originally from the Doon Valley in Ayrshire but now lives in West Lothian. Having studied jewellery design for 4 years she now creates jewellery in her garden studio. She likes making quirky jewellery from sterling silver and incorporates bright colours, textures and fabrics in many of the pieces. Her most recent range features an etched Fair Isle pattern which she teams with funky felt in bright zingy shades. 

Abbotts Chocolates

Now it wouldn't be Christmas without chocolate, so its a good job we have Abbotts Chocolates coming along to the Fair. Based in the Scottish Border town of Langholm, Abbotts Chocolates specialises in hand-made, delicious chocolates. Its their very first time at our events so we're looking forward to tasting their wares.

Grandma Sue
Gorgeous vintage inspired gifts, homewares & accessories created using salvaged, upcycled and preloved materials; sitting side by side with an eclectic mix of original vintage & retro collectables. Grandma Sue is run by the volunteers at Sue Ryder - the pieces they sell are created by the volunteers from materials donated to the shop. Grandma Sue is also non-profit making as the proceeds from each sale made is donated back to the charity. 

Grannie Jean's
We've another local food producer joining us at the Winter Fair. Fresh traditionally Home Baked Products, Meat and Vegetarian Varieties of Pasties, Meat Pies & Quiches. Traditionally made Pork pies, inc Layered Pork Pies eg: Pork and Game, Pork and Haggis.


Tiny Tots Togs
My mum taught me the joys of sewing from a young age. We used to spend many an afternoon being creative and making all sorts of things. The patterns Tiny Tots Togs use today are from the dresses her sister and her used to wear in our childhood. They hope your little ones enjoy wearing them as much as she enjoys making them!

Caroline Nash Crafts
Caroline Nash Crafts will be returning once more to Lady Magpie & Me Winter Fair. Lots of visitors to our fairs have fallen in love with her handmade Contemporary, quirky ceramics with a vintage-feel. Come and meet Caroline, she’ll be travelling across the border from her studio in Cumbria to join us on the 2nd November.

Roncadora Press will be joining us at Lady Magpie & Me in Castle Douglas. They produce artists books and limited edition handmade poetry pamphlets.

Kaixe
Based in South West Scotland, Kaixe create cupcakes - both mini and regular sized - and celebration cakes for every occasion. Kaixe will be joining us once more at Lady Magpie & Me, so get yourself along to our Winter Fair for some of their tasty cupcakes and cakes, their bloomin delicious!

Sam Samson 
Sam Samson has spent the last 25 years re inventing things. Turning old bobbins into twine holders, creating toys, lamps and hourglasses. You'll find weathered oak,scorched painted,treen tables chairs,lino prints and more. Come and meet the maker at the Winter Fair, its their first time at the fair so I hope you'll make them feel very welcome. 

Helen Ryman Arts
Locally based Helen Ryman Arts will be joining us at Lady Magpie & Me Winter Fair. She will be showcasing Oil paintings, Limited edition Giclee prints and Greetings cards of the people, places and animals of Galloway. 

Morag Macpherson Textiles
We're thrilled to welcome back locally based Morag Macpherson Textiles to our Lady Magpie & Me. Morag creates surface pattern for textiles and wallpaper, her patterns are influenced by different cultures, art movements in history, natural and urban formations. These illustrations are then digitally printed onto pure silks, natural linens, fine wools, crisp cottons and wallpapers. She sells limited edition scarves, cushions, throws, bags, wall hangings and a range of one-off wearable art. 

Silver Tree Studio 
We're looking forward to welcoming along Heather Andrews to Lady Magpie & Me. Heather is a qualified jeweller based in Dumfries & Galloway. She designs and creates eye-catching, yet wearable ethical jewellery. Beautiful organic textures, textile inserts and the imprint of real leaves highlight my recycled silver and copper jewellery. She also creates bio-degradable jewellery. A wide range of gloriously bright, colourful and inexpensive items are made by fusing tiny pieces of bio-degradable plastic. These include cute bird earrings and brooches, kiltpins and striped cufflinks and tie clips. 

Goodbye Norma Jean 
Goodbye, Norma Jean is travelling over the border and setting up shop at Lady Magpie & Me Winter Fair. "All killer, no filler!"-that's the rule at GNJ! Everything is stylist- picked from far and wide, laundered, mended, often customised and priced to reflect condition and rarity value...an eclectic melting-pot of magnificence, from the sublime to the "Cor, blimey!", from the 1890's to the 1980's!

Lady Magpie & Me Summer Fete

LADY MAGPIE & ME SUMMER FETE 3RD AUGUST 2013

So who would have thought nearly a whole year has passed since our very first Lady Magpie & Me. I hope you'll be able to come along to our Lady Magpie & Me Summer Fete on the 3rd August at Castle Douglas Town Hall, 10-4pm. £1 Entry and KIDS GO FREE!
Tea, cake, vintage clothing, retro homewares, collectables, toys, jewellery, artisan bread, bags, shoes, furniture, photography, jams, skincare and soaps...simply a Town Hallful of hand-picked and curated designer/makers, artisan foods and vintage finds plus so much more! Britain's Best Arts & Crafts Market is BACK so come and join us and help us celebrate our 1st Birthday in typical LM&M style!

Home & Antiques Magazine will be joining us at our Summer Fete. Their H&A northern agent, the wonderful Juliet (Mrs GOT) will have some super duper offers in store for our LM&M visitors. It's that time again when Mrs Green must don her apron and go underground in order to bring you the most delicious treats. Mrs Green will be selling the most delicious Ice Cream Cones and Sundae's at  Lady Magpie & Me - Summer Fete! this weekend along with all the usual tasty cakes and incredible edibles! 

Goldings Old Things
Golding's Old Things will be packing up their suitcases with lots of vintage treasures for our magpie's to peruse this Saturday at Lady Magpie & Me Summer Fete. Expect a fine selection of beautiful china pieces, luminous glassware, nostalgic pictures, elegant mirrors, an eclectic range of textiles and quirky small salvage items et cetera!

Circa72Jewellery
Circa 72 Jewellery design and make jewellery using silver, freshwater pearls, gemstones and occasional accents of gold. There jewellery is inspired by nature and personal memories. And you'll be able to meet the maker, Kary Purvis at Lady Magpie & Me Summer Fete.

Sarah-Jane Coleby
Sarah-Jane Coleby Artist is a needle felt artist based in Dumfries & Galloway. She takes inspiration from beasties near and far and turns wool into mini works of art through the magic of needle felting. We can't wait to see what wonderful creatures Sarah-Jane Coleby Artist creates for our Lady Magpie & Me Summer Fete. A whole host of beautiful needle felted animals that are ready to head off to their new homes. Come and meet Sarah on the 3rd August.

Earth’s Crust Bakery
Here at Lady Magpie & Me we LOVE bread. So we are ever so pleased to be welcoming along The Earth's Crust Bakery to our Summer Fete on the 3rd August. Delicious and freshly baked artisan breads just for you on the day.

A love of vintage china and candles has inspired Ivy Rose Vintage to collect and upcycle these into lovely soya wax candles and vintage cake stands. They also handpick a mix of vintage and retro homewares including tea and coffee sets, vintage and retro glassware and unusual vintage pretties for the home.



Dermia
We'll be welcoming along another new stallholder on Saturday. Dermia are based in Scotland and produce skincare using the finest natural ingredients, including sunflower oil, cocoa butter, shea butter and natural vitamin E. Their beautiful range of natural skin care is for acne prone skin, sensitive skin and and of course normal and dry types.The range includes moisturisers, hand creams, scrubs, exfoliators, lipbalms and nettle SLS free shampoo.

Dunnabie Farm Foods
It makes us very happy here at Lady Magpie & Me to welcome along new stallholders to the fairs we host. So we'd like to introduce Dunnabie Farm Foods who will be joining us at our Summer Fete. They are Farm Butchers, using traditional Beef, Lamb and Pork, sourced in the local area. We hope you'll give them a huge big welcome on Saturday the 3rd August.

Just the Biscuit
Just the Biscuit sell an eclectic mix of vintage cutlery, kitchen utensils, linens, porcelain, kitsch ornaments, glass ware and much, much more including their trademark handmade felt biscuits. Come and browse their stall at our Summer Fete.

Blackbird Alley
Blackbird Alley will be be heading to D&G from the capital to join us on the day. Blackbird Alley loves mixing traditional pen & ink, vintage textiles, text and drawing to create beautiful art and prints for your walls! They’ll be bringing along a nice selection of prints, handmade haberdashery and illustrated vintage plates……plus new illustrated clips and earrings.

Hero Chic Shoes
Hero Chic Heels will be returning to LM&M Summer Fete, why not give your shoes a new lease of life and discuss the possibilities on the day!

KGRGlass
We’re delighted to welcome along locally based KGR Glass once more to Lady Magpie & Me. They’ll be showcasing a range of window and wall hangers, pictures and freestanding art made from stained, copperfoil and fused glass.

Tickety Boo
Tickety Boo Jam will be joining us on the day. If you missed them at our recent Makers Market them why not come and sample their tasty home grown and homemade Jams, Chutney and award winning Marmalades.

Susan Sews
Susan Sews will be joining us for the very first time at our Summer Fete. Susan creates handmade quirky handbags, purses, gadget cases, keyrings and cushions. She loves brightly patterned and unusual fabric, along with colourful trimmings and buttons and a mixture of new and recycled fabrics and fastenings.



Painted Chic
We love nothing better than recycling and reusing so we'll be welcoming along another lovely new stallholder to our Lady Magpie & Me. Painted Chic will joining us on the 3rd August and there based in Castle Douglas. Hand painted furniture, picture frames,vases, candlesticks, jugs & bowls, lamps etc.

So Sew Pretty
At So Sew Pretty, you’ll learn heaps of new skills. There’ll be a selection of fabrics, ribbons and trims and details of all upcoming So Sew Pretty sewing and crafting workshops.

David Moses
We are looking forward to welcoming David Moses Family Portraits once more to LM&M. Based in Newton Stewart, David produces relaxed, fun and classic photographs. Nothing cheesy or forced, Victorian or tacky, just beautiful photographs that will last a lifetime. David specialises in natural and outdoors family shoots.

Leah Halliday
As well as organising Lady Magpie & Me, Leah will be selling her designs at the Handmade & Vintage Fair. Leah Halliday lovingly creates and designs a collection of handmade gifts, accessories and homewares. Leah finds herself inspired by vintage fabrics, ephemera, nostalgic images and forgotten fabrics. Leah is a collector of all things vintage with a home filled with ceramics, linen, ornaments, tea cups, toys & books which all inspire her work. Leah also sells an ever changing handpicked selection of vintage finds for you and your home. A jolly mix of colours, prints & patterns!

Hinton Pottery
Castle Douglas based Hinton Pottery create various items from glass filled ceramic coasters and ceramic buttons to jewellery, candle sticks and heart shaped wall 'danglies' and even pictures of landscapes entirely made from clay.

Based in Dumfries & Galloway we'll be welcoming along Nessie Cosmetics to LM&M for the very first time. They make handmade soaps and bath treats pop by their stall and give them a lovely welcome.

Happy Birthday To Us!


Well who would have thought it, a whole year has nearly passed since I hosted my very first Lady Magpie & Me. I had this idea of a fair where there was a lovely mix of designer/makers, lots of vintage finds and tasty food to eat. And there had to be cake too in a pop up tea room served on pretty vintage china plates and displayed on my collection of cake stands. 

So on Saturday the 3rd August its Lady Magpie & Me Summer Fete and our 1st birthday too.....yes just one year old and so much has happened in that year. 

LM&M has had the joy of showcasing lots of marvellous designer/makers, vintage sellers and artisan foods from Scotland and beyond, welcomed just over 4,000 visitors through the doors at Lady Magpie & Me and invited to collaborate with Big Burns Supper, curating the vending machine project and invited to host our very first Makers Market in Dumfries by D&G Arts Festival as part of their 'In Our Town' programme. But even better we were voted Britain's Best Arts & Crafts Market by all our wonderful supporters. 

I just want to say a big HUGE thank you for making my crazy dreams a reality..........party hats at the ready!

Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair 6th June - Who's there on the day!



Join Lady Magpie & Me at the Handmade & Vintage Fair in the bustling market town of Castle Douglas on the 8th June from 10am  till 4pm, its £1 entry and kids go free. Browse over 30 stalls over two floors. The Town Hall will be full to the brim with craft, handmade and vintage items and so much more. 

Don't forget its Castle Douglas Food Town Day this Saturday too, with plenty of family activities, chef demonstrations, tasting sessions and much more! So lots of our regular food stalls at Lady Magpie & Me will be setting up shop at Market Hill on the day. Please be aware that Kings Street will be closed 11am-3pm. See you on Saturday!




Carol lives and works in her studio in a beautiful rural location near Biggar, Scotland. Although Carol is a painter who uses a great variety of painting and drawing mediums she also uses photography as a fine art medium to create limited edition Giclee prints of dried plant specimens photographed through microscopes.


We’re pleased to welcome back Goodbye, Norma Jean back once more to Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair. Expect a fine selection of hand-picked and on trend vintage clothing, jewellery, footwear and accessories. Goodbye, Norma Jean recycles high quality fashion from the past that you’ll want to wear forever!


We are looking forward to welcoming David Moses Family Portraits once more to Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair. Based in Newton Stewart, David produces relaxed, fun and classic photographs. Nothing cheesy or forced, Victorian or tacky, just beautiful photographs that will last a lifetime. David specialises in natural and outdoors family shoots.


If you missed them at the Spring Fair, then you’ll be delighted to know that Luv in a Box will be travelling from Ayrshire to be back again at Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair. Share a little Luv, with a hand crafted & personalised, Typographic, 3d art work.

Tactile Tales are a small, independent, UK company publishing innovative books and accompanying aromatherapy massage oils for parents and children; books that link story telling and massage together and are beautifully illustrated and easy to use. Our stories are fired by our love of nature and celebrate the bond between parent and child through the wonderful medium of plants and animals from around the world. Our aim is to promote a loving, bonding experience between parents and children to encourage well being and a love of nature.


Shop ‘til you drop then visit Mrs Green’s if you fancy putting your feet up and enjoying a nice cup of tea and a tasty treat served in Mrs Green’s best vintage china. Elastic pants at the ready as these a whole host of cake on the menu including Cappuccino and Walnut, 3 layer Chocolate Beetroot Bonanza, Red Velvet Va-voom, Salted Chocolate Caramel Custard Cake and a menagerie of gluten free goodies.



Cumbrian based designer-maker Michelle is another newcomer to Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair. Maker of pretty things and wearable art.  Made from a hotchpotch of all kinds of gorgeous materials, glitzy embroidery, colourful yarns and with a quirky slant!

At So Sew Pretty, you’ll learn heaps of new skills. There’ll be a selection of fabrics, ribbons and trims and details of all upcoming So Sew Pretty sewing and crafting workshops.


My mum taught me the joys of sewing from a young age. We used to spend many an afternoon being creative and making all sorts of things. The patterns I use today are from the dresses my sister and I used to wear in our childhood. I hope your little ones enjoy wearing them as much as i enjoy making them!


Just the Biscuit sell an eclectic mix of vintage cutlery, kitchen utensils, linens, porcelain, kitsch ornaments, glass ware and much, much more including their trademark handmade felt biscuits. Come and browse their stall at Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair.


We're thrilled to welcome back locally based Morag Macpherson Textiles to our Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair. Morag creates surface pattern for textiles and wallpaper, her patterns are influenced by different cultures, art movements in history, natural and urban formations. These illustrations are then digitally printed onto pure silks, natural linens, fine wools, crisp cottons and wallpapers. She sells limited edition scarves, cushions, throws, bags, wall hangings and a range of one-off wearable art.


Catriona Archibald is a contemporary crafts person based in Carlisle working with ceramics and textiles to create beautiful keepsakes and functional loveliness for the home. Up cycled vintage crockery, hand built and slip cast ceramics and unique textile creations make up a treasure trove waiting to be discovered.





Scamp Baby Gifts will be joining us at Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair. Scamp Baby Gifts hand make unusual gifts for babies and children to help brighten up and individualise their bedrooms. Scamp Baby Gifts is two sisters screen printing, making and designing cool kids wear, room accessories and little gifts. Their designs are inspired by the sisters love of simplicity and bright colour and their products ensure style is not forgotten when it comes to the littlest members of the household!


We’re pleased to welcome along Soapbubblicious to Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair. Locally based, they sell an array of soap goodies including handmade traditional goats milk soaps, felted soaps, glycerine soaps, liquid castile soaps, shea body butter and dead sea salt scrubs. All handmade from scratch using raw ingredients and not a chemical in sight.


As well as organising Lady Magpie & Me, Leah will be selling her designs at the Handmade & Vintage Fair. Leah Halliday lovingly creates and designs a collection of handmade gifts, accessories and homewares.
Leah finds herself inspired by vintage fabrics, ephemera, nostalgic images and forgotten fabrics. Leah is a collector of all things vintage with a home filled with ceramics, linen, ornaments, tea cups, toys & books which all inspire her work. Leah also sells an ever changing handpicked selection of vintage finds for you and your home. A jolly mix of colours, prints & patterns!


Hailing from Cumbria, Caroline is a firm favourite with our regular visitors at Lady Magpie & Me. Expect quirky and contemporary ceramics with a vintage feel. 


We are delighted to be welcoming along locally based Helen Ryman Arts to Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair. She will be showcasing Oil paintings, Limited edition Giclee prints and Greetings cards of the people, places and animals of Galloway.


A newcomer to Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair Red Squirrel Crafts use their trusty crochet hooks, thread, ribbon and beads to create unique and unusual crochet jewellery and accessories.





A newcomer to Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair, Cressa's Glass Works designs fresh, vibrant and colourful pieces. Working mainly with kiln-formed bullseye, opaque and transparent glass, Cressa uses the techniques of fusing, slumping, draping and sandblasting the glass to create the bold outlines and contrasting colours that define her style.


We’re delighted to welcome Gillian Harvie along to Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair. Playful, mixed media jewellery that creates a scene: colourful houses, clouds, grass, birds and more come together in the form of different wearable pieces to create a magical, odd, little town.


An Edinburgh based, family Run soap making company, we’re pleased to introduce Granny Sally’s Soap Kitchen with their playful and quirky of soaps, scrubs skincare and candles which are all a play on food! Look out for their cheesecake soap!


Locally based textile artist Caroline hand dyes and nuno felts silk chiffon scarves, makes hand felted lavender hearts, hand felted head bands along with other hand felted accessories. 


Their first time at Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair, Dumfries based Dishy Vintage will be showcasing a full range of letterpress printed cards for all occasions, scented teacup candles and vintage china. 

Mitchell & Favourite

Locally based Mitchell & Favourite are here for their first fair at Lady Magpie & Me. They’ll be showcasing a range of handcrafted a range of aprons for all occasions in bold prints, silk 'cocktail wraps' trimmed with lace and feathers, lavender bags in vintage fabrics, drawstring bags and totes in cotton prints and tweeds, 'juicy jewelry' - bright coloured wooden beads, exquisite hand bound notebooks and greetings cards. 





We’re thrilled to welcome along Hinton Pottery to the Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair. Castle Douglas based Hinton Pottery They create various items from glass filled ceramic coasters and ceramic buttons to jewellery, candle sticks and heart shaped wall 'danglies' and even pictures of landscapes entirely made from clay.


We’re delighted to welcome along locally based KGR Glass to their first Lady Magpie & Me Fair. They’ll be showcasing a range of window and wall hangers, pictures and freestanding art made from stained, copperfoil and fused glass 


Lady Magpie & Me are thrilled to welcome back All at Sea to our Handmade & Vintage Fair. They design and create a small collection of handmade nautical jewellery inspired by the coast.


We’re pleased to welcome along Hero Chic Heels to Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair. Specialising in bespoke designed pearl and crystal shoes along with handmade comic book shoes, every pair of shoes is completely unique in design, with no two pairs ever being the same. 

        
A first timer at Lady Magpie & Me, Roslyn creates a range of handmade leathergoods using traditional methods. Her products include leather bowls, Coasters, bookmarks, keyrings and plaques with original hand tooled designs, along with hand-stitched belts, phonecases and purses. 


We’re thrilled to welcome Aldaron Woodcrafts to Lady Magpie & Me Vintage Fair. They design unique, handmade, personalised chopping and serving boards, wooden benches, house signs, clocks, book ends, signs for sheds, stables etc, little decorated eggs and pebbles, children's door signs & coat hooks. Aldaron Woodcrafts use locally sourced hardwoods such as sycamore, holly, cherry ash and wych elm for our smaller products and thick, rustic pine for making our benches.


We’re delighted to welcome Verily Vintage to the Lady Magpie & Me Handmade & Vintage Fair. A veritable treasure trove of vintage homewares, they specialise in radios from the 1950s onwards and retro-inspired handmade gadget cases.
